One of the tenets of Placed-based Learning is becoming a steward of your environment and community. We did just that this spring in my class with some of my fabulous GLCPS colleagues. From the state pier and port of New Bedford, to the world-class art collection at the main branch of the New Bedford Public Library, to the #RotchDuffJones House and Garden and the #SeamansBethel we explored, pondered, sketched and scribbled away our observations. The class would not have been complete without a sail out of Clark's Cove. It was a picture perfect day with great gusts and gorgeous sunshine. The cherry on the cake for our adventure with #communityboatingcenter was being greeted by one of our GLCPS alums who now shares his love of the sea and sailing at CBC.
