Heidi works tirelessly to make Port to Port's reach truly global, and her passion for travel shows through in the multitude of national and international adventures she has had. She has disseminated the Port to Port curriculum and place-based learning both near and far in workshop format or lectures. A few of the venues include:
- 2017 Transatlantic Connections Conference (Bundoran, County Donegal, Ireland)
- University of Massachusetts Dartmouth School of Education and SMAST Graduate School for Marine Science and Technology (Dartmouth, MA)
- University College Dublin
- Chester Beatty Library in Dublin Castle (Dublin, Ireland)
- The Portuguese Consulate (Boston, MA)
- SEDA College (Dublin, Ireland)
- University of Tartu (Tartu, Estonia)
- Padagogische Hochschule St. Gallen (Rorschach, St. Gallen, Switzerland)
- Travelling Napoleon's Routes in France (from Corsica to Paris)
- Harvard University Graduate School of Education/Project Zero (Cambridge, MA)
And always, Heidi is looking for new journeys to undertake and invitations to speak in new places. It is the people and their stories that fascinate her. This travel has spawned a global connection from port to port. Below are just a few snapshots of the beauty she was able to experience from all corners of the world.
